![]() ![]() ![]() I find myself switching to Fusion now and then for PAL games to do an in-game region switch to get correct gameplay speed. Same as with the missing garbage pixels in the overscan area. Still, three games where I think it's easy to hear some clear differences are: James Bond:The Duel (whole soundtrack sound better though), Dangerous Seed (prefer Pico Drive for this one) and Crying/Biohazard Battle (Stage 1 theme especially, those long, echoing sounds are different). But really, this is nitpicking territory. Sound emulation is very good, the differences to real hardware is small enough that it could as well be interpretetd as a difference caused by the TV, Speakers etc. Haven't died a single time were I though it was input related.as opposed to say SSF (Saturn) I don't think we'd have a lot of input delay related discussions if every emulator was as good as this one. Really good emulator, speaking from Windows and Linux version experince. Kudos to all of you for keeping the Genesis and many more retro consoles alive and thriving!ĮDIT: Anyone looking for a great Genesis emulator, Genesis Plus GX looks and sounds just like the real thing to me and I highly recommend it. ![]() If nobody knows who the hell I am don't worry about it, I'm just saying goodbye anyway. I want to say thanks for all the help I received here for hardware problems and advice on some hardware mods. Having all of my retro consoles on just one console via Retroarch-Wii is pretty darn convenient and very compact. I also simply don't have the space to keep them all hooked up. I would keep my real retro console hardware but bills are mounting, gotta sell off all my retro consoles and Everdrives. Controller input lag became unnoticeable once I got used to emulators again, especially on a CRT TV. Anyway, I regret to say that I'm switching back to emulation. I have to say I had fun playing around with the real hardware of retro consoles for the past year or so, learning how to solder, learning more about the Genesis in a year than I ever knew in 20 years of my life. I'm using a softmodded Wii and a 20 inch CRT TV I found on the curb with S-Video, looks great and the input lag is minimal. So forwarder channels also require you to download that homebrew app and save it to at least one of the paths.įor example, you get wiimc channel (then you'll need toget the wiimc app and have it in one of the following pathsĬlick the link under your preferred file host, it will take u to adf.Genesis Plus GX has probably the most accurate YM2612 emulation ever and sounds no different than the real thing to me now.
